a writing workshop: letters to the river

Daniela Gandra, poet and multidisciplinary artist, guides an evening given entirely to writing letters by hand, with Janeiro playing through it and flowers arranged by the land artist Nathalia Lovati on the tables. It is not a workshop in the instructional sense, and nothing written is read aloud unless the writer offers it. What the evening provides is paper, ink, three unhurried hours and the company of other people doing the same thing, which turns out to be most of what the practice needs. You might write to a person, to the river, or to whoever you were a year ago. No habit of writing is assumed. The host approves each place, so register before the night.
